Where to Sell Streetwear: Fees Compared
US seller fees on Depop, eBay, Grailed, Mercari, Poshmark and StockX for streetwear, from each platform's own pages, with a worked $150 example.

Researched from public informationWhere you sell a hoodie or a box logo tee changes what you keep. On the same $150 item, the US seller fees on six major platforms range from about $5 to $30, before shipping. This guide lists each platform's current fees from its own pages, works through one $150 sale on all six, and covers how to choose.
All figures are for US sellers, as listed on October 10, 2026. Platforms change fees often, so check the linked pages before you list.
The fees, platform by platform#
In alphabetical order:
Depop. No selling fee for US sellers. Depop charges a payment processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45 per transaction, on the sale price plus shipping and any taxes. If you boost a listing, a 12% boosting fee applies to that sale, on the item price and, unless you use a Depop label, shipping.
eBay. eBay lists no separate clothing rate, so apparel falls under its rate for most categories: 13.6% of the total sale amount plus $0.40 per order over $10, per eBay's fee table. The total includes shipping and sales tax. Sneakers over $150 get a lower 8% rate, but apparel doesn't. Sellers rated Below Standard pay an extra 6%.
Grailed. A 9% commission on sales of $120 and above, or 6% under $120 with a $1.99 minimum, per Grailed's fee page. Payment processing is separate: 3.49% + $0.49 if you're onboarded with Stripe, or 3.49% + $0.99 if not. Shipping you charge the buyer counts toward the commission unless you use a Grailed Label.
Mercari. A 10% selling fee on the item price plus buyer-paid shipping, with no payment processing fee on new or updated listings, per Mercari's fee page. Buyers pay a separate 3.6% Buyer Protection fee. Direct deposit cash-outs are free; Instant Pay costs $3.
Poshmark. A flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and a 20% commission on sales over $15, as listed on Poshmark's blog and its terms page. The two describe a sale of exactly $15 differently, so check if you price there. Buyers pay shipping, and you get a prepaid label.
StockX. StockX's US fee page lists one schedule: a transaction fee of 9% at Level 1, falling to 7% at Level 5, plus a 3% processing fee and a $5 minimum. It doesn't list separate rates for apparel, and StockX says shipping is deducted from your payout, at an estimated base rate of $5 per item for US sellers. Our guide to StockX, GOAT and eBay fees covers StockX levels and payouts in detail.
A worked example: one $150 item#
Here's what a $150 item pays out on each platform, using the fees above. These are our own calculations, rounded to the cent, on the $150 item price only, before shipping, sales tax and income tax.
What stands out:
- Depop's headline cost is lowest because it charges US sellers no selling fee, but a boosted sale costs more than eBay or Grailed.
- Most platforms land between about $129 and $135.
- Poshmark's 20% is the biggest cut at this price, though the buyer pays shipping and you get a prepaid label.
- StockX's estimated $5 shipping would bring the Level 1 payout to about $127.
- The real numbers run a little higher on several platforms. eBay charges on shipping and tax, Depop on shipping and tax, Mercari and Grailed on buyer-paid shipping, and StockX deducts shipping from your payout.

How to choose where to sell#
There's no single cheapest platform once shipping, buyers and speed come in. Habits vary, but many resellers sort items roughly like this:
- Grailed for designer, archive and rarer streetwear pieces.
- StockX for new, unworn pieces that sell as standard products, such as Supreme, BAPE or Fear of God Essentials, where StockX lists them. Some sellers also list selected apparel on GOAT.
- eBay for vintage and used pieces, older Supreme and items without an established StockX listing.
- Depop for vintage, Y2K, lower-priced and trend-driven pieces, and Poshmark for mainstream apparel.
- Whatnot for live auctions and lower-priced lots, and Facebook Marketplace or local groups for in-person deals, where you need to watch for scams. We haven't listed their fees here.
A few questions help:
- Who's the buyer? Each platform draws a different crowd, and reaching the right buyers can matter as much as a few points of fees. Look at what similar items have sold for on each before you list.
- Is the item new and hyped? StockX says its team inspects Verified Marketplace orders before they ship to the buyer, which can reassure buyers of new pieces such as fresh Supreme drops. Our guide to how Supreme drops work covers that side.
- Who pays shipping, and how? Poshmark includes a label paid by the buyer. Elsewhere, check whether fees apply to the shipping you charge.
- Do you boost or promote? Depop's 12% boosting fee changes its math completely.
- Is it cheap? Low-priced items hit minimums: Grailed's $1.99, StockX's $5, Poshmark's $2.95 flat fee.
Taxes and records#
Platform fees aren't your only cost, and the fees you pay are part of your records. Our guide to reseller taxes and 1099-K forms explains what US sellers should know. It's general information, not tax advice, and the rules change.
If you list on eBay, our guides to pricing eBay listings and eBay returns and feedback cover the rest.
