Amazon Seller Tools Explained: Sourcing, Research, Repricers

What Amazon seller tools do, from sourcing scanners and price-history trackers to product research, repricers and profit analytics, with 2026 starting prices.

Researched from public information

Amazon seller tools do the research and busywork that reselling on Amazon takes: finding products to buy, checking their price history, working out fees and profit, adjusting prices and tracking inventory. This guide explains each kind of tool, what well-known examples cost in 2026, and which are worth paying for first.

Prices below are starting prices from each tool's own site, checked in October 2026. Most tools also have higher tiers, annual discounts and free trials, and they change their plans often.

Price history and sales rank#

Before buying anything to resell, you want to know what it has actually sold for and how fast it sells. Keepa is a widely used tool for this: it tracks Amazon price history and sales rank, sends price-drop alerts, and adds charts to Amazon product pages through a browser extension. Keepa Pro costs €29 a month including VAT.

Many other tools build Keepa-style charts into their own screens.

Profit calculators and sourcing tools#

These tools answer one question: if I buy this item at this price, what's left after Amazon's fees? Some also search retail sites for items to buy.

ToolWhat it doesStarting price
ArbiSourceScans 600+ US and UK retailers for arbitrage deals$54.99/month
BuyBotProChrome extension that analyzes deals (profit, ROI, FBA vs FBM)$39.95/month
RevSellerChrome extension showing FBA fees, margin and sales rank on Amazon pages$19.99/month
ScanUnlimitedBulk-scans wholesale supplier price lists against Amazon$60/month
Seller AssistantBrowser extension with a profit calculator and research tools$29.99/month
SellerAmp SASProduct analysis for online and retail arbitrage$19.95/month
Tactical ArbitrageCloud scanner matching 1,400+ retail sites to Amazon listings$59/month

Tools are listed alphabetically; sources for each are below the guide. The cheapest way in is usually a browser extension that shows profit on the Amazon page you're already looking at, such as SellerAmp or RevSeller. Scanners that search hundreds of retail sites cost more and suit sellers doing online arbitrage at volume. Our guide to online and retail arbitrage explains how that works and its risks.

Product research suites#

Product research suites help sellers who create their own listings or brands: they estimate sales, research keywords and track competitors.

ToolWhat it doesStarting price
AMZScoutProduct research extension and database$59.99/month
Helium 10Product, keyword and listing tools for Amazon, Walmart and TikTok ShopFree plan; paid from $129/month ($99/month billed annually)
Jungle ScoutProduct and keyword research, sales estimates$49/month ($29/month billed annually)
SmartScoutMarket, brand and seller research$49/month ($29/month billed annually)

For resellers who only list on existing product pages, these are usually optional.

Repricers#

A repricer changes your prices automatically within limits you set, usually to compete for the Buy Box (the "Add to Cart" spot on a product page). Set a minimum price for every item, so a price war can't push you below your costs.

ToolWhat it doesStarting price
AuraAI repricer for Amazon and Walmart, FBA and merchant-fulfilled$37/month
BQool Repricing CentralAI and rule-based repricer$25/month
Repricer.comRepricer for Amazon, eBay, Walmart and Shopify, with separate FBA and FBM rules$99/month

Profit analytics and operations#

Once you're selling regularly, you need to know your real profit after every fee, refund and ad, and to keep shipments and inventory organized.

ToolWhat it doesStarting price
BoxemShipment creation, inventory management, ungating status checks$49.99/month
InventoryLabListing, FBA shipment prep, inventory and profit tracking$69/month
SellerboardProfit and loss, cost of goods, inventory and restock tracking$19/month

Sellerboard offers a one-month free trial with no card required. Threecolts also sells Tactical Arbitrage and its other seller apps together in a bundle, Seller 365, from $69 a month.

Refund terms differ a lot#

Check the refund policy before you subscribe:

  • RevSeller: a full refund within 5 business days of payment.
  • Boxem: a full refund within 7 days.
  • AMZScout: a 10-day money-back guarantee.
  • ScanUnlimited: no refunds or credits for partial months.
  • Keepa: cancel any time; access runs to the end of the paid period, with no pro-rata refunds.

Free trials are the safest way to test a tool. Put a reminder in your calendar before the trial ends.

What to buy first#

A sensible starting kit for a new reseller:

  1. A price-history tool, usually Keepa, so you never buy blind.
  2. A profit calculator or browser extension, so you see Amazon's fees for each item before you buy.
  3. Later, as you grow: a sourcing scanner if you do online arbitrage at volume, then a repricer and profit analytics once you have many listings.

Our guide to FBA vs FBM explains the fees these tools calculate.

Tools and services to avoid#

Some products sold to Amazon sellers break Amazon's rules or are outright scams:

  • "Done-for-you" Amazon stores promising passive income. The FTC has sued sellers of these schemes: in one case, it alleges Ascend Ecom falsely promised AI-powered stores would earn thousands a month and took at least $25 million from consumers.
  • Ungating services that supply invoices. Amazon's approval for restricted brands and categories requires real invoices from a manufacturer or distributor. A service selling invoices puts your account at risk. Tools that only check your eligibility and open Amazon's own request page are a different thing.
  • Review or ranking services, which break Amazon's rules on manipulating reviews and search.
  • Seller accounts for sale, and "guaranteed" account reinstatement.

OOSClub doesn't list any of these. Our guide to buying on Whop covers how to check a seller before you pay, and our guide to reseller taxes explains how tool subscriptions count as business costs.

Frequently asked questions

What tools do Amazon resellers need?

Most start with a price-history tracker such as Keepa and a profit calculator that shows Amazon's fees for an item. Arbitrage sellers often add a sourcing scanner, and sellers with many listings add a repricer and profit analytics. You don't need all of them on day one.

What is a repricer?

A repricer changes your Amazon prices automatically, within limits you set, usually to compete for the Buy Box. Set a minimum price you're willing to accept so it can't sell below your costs.

Are Amazon seller tools allowed?

Research, sourcing, repricing and analytics tools are widely used. What breaks Amazon's rules is manipulating reviews or rankings, supplying fake invoices, or running multiple accounts without permission. Avoid any service that offers those.

Can a tool get me ungated in a restricted brand?

Some tools check whether you're eligible and open Amazon's own approval request. None can make you eligible. Approval needs real invoices from a manufacturer or distributor, and any service selling invoices for ungating is a red flag.
